Initial Phone Consultation

We’ll spend about 30 minutes together on the phone, chatting about your project goals and expectations.  If we have any time left on the call, I will tell you my thoughts on the latest pop-culture events, you know, just in case you were interested…

Within 24 hours of our call, I will email comprehensive notes from the conversation, including the project’s next steps.  You don’t have to worry about trying to remember everything we talked about.

Design Suggestions Report

Having trouble figuring out exactly what you want to do?  Defining your project can be challenging.  I can help with this.  I have nearly a decade of design and construction experience and would love to apply it to your project.

I will review photographs of your remodel area and, based upon our initial phone consultation and subsequent email, assemble a design suggestions report.  This report will highlight suggested materials and methods for your remodel, and give you a great start towards solidifying your remodel scope of work.

Project Estimate

Is there anything worse than getting half-way through a project and realizing you did not account for all costs?  Avoid this mini-catastrophe by letting me assemble a complete cost breakdown for your project.  I use estimating software tailored to your geographic location to further ensure accuracy.  So, for example, I know the going rate for granite counter tops in Lincoln, Nebraska or even the cost of a fireplace insert in Anchorage, Alaska. (The rhyme was unintentional, I swear.)

This helps in two ways:

1. You can account for the cost before starting your project
2. You will know when a contractor is trying to overcharge you.

This knowledge alone will save you hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars.  By the way, my ten-years in the industry have taught me every conceivable method a contractor uses for price gouging, so you may want to warn your contractors up front that, with me on your team, they don’t have a chance.  They shouldn’t even try.  Click here to download a letter notifying bidders of your project team!

Let’s face it, home remodels not only affect your house, they affect the day-to-day operations of your family.  Knowing how long the remodel should take and when to expect milestone completion is critical to preserving your sanity.  Such knowledge is especially important when hiring a contractor.  Should your contractor get behind schedule, you will know it immediately and be able to take action to correct it.
